TEN-YEAR OLD ENTREPRENEUR DONATES HALF OF EARNINGS TO CHILDREN'S HEARING AID TEXAS

Jillian

Jillian Sunnygard was born with a hearing loss that went undetected until she was four-years old.  Today, she currently wears behind-the-ear hearing aids and is an A-B student at Cedar Creek Elementary.  A year ago, Jillian became interested in earning her own money and began designing barrettes.  This year, her family opened a booth at the Austin Farmer's Market (Sunset Valley) where Jillian sells her three- and four-dollar barrettes.  Jillian donates half of her barrette proceeds to CHAT.  Her donations have already helped to cover the cost of a hearing aid fitting for one child.  Jillian is a shining example of one kid making a magnificent difference to other kids who need her help.  To read more about Jillian, please click here.

Austin Community Foundation CHAT is a special project fund of the Austin Community Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) St. David's Community Health Foundation Randalls Good Neighbor Program For more information click here.
